Well this being my local track i was looking forward to racing it. It has been about 7 weeks since i last done a full race meeting,so the fitness wasn't there.
Practise went on for what seemed like forever, but the mighty RM was loving it. Finding the grip and some good lines.
Qualifying i gated about 4th quickly got into third and persued Dave Ponting and Mark Withers. Dave was really hard to get pasted and all the while Mark was edging a gap away from us, i got pasted Dave and homed in on Mark but ran out of laps, so 2nd it was.
Two stroke race i thought i grabbed the holeshot but Olly Mayhew on the CR500 came roaring up on the inside and took it away from me. I followed Olly for a while then tucked in on the inside of him to take the lead, I then pushed on but Spags tagged onto me and we were swapping positions all race. Then i put in a rubbish lap and Olly and Freddie Heath got pasted me, so i said to myself get it together, i then homed in on them and in doing so nearly hit Olly's rear wheel. I took avoiding action and went off the track, only to get my rear wheel wrapped up in barb wire fence, that was the end of the race and finished 17th
A race gated about 11th got up to 6th held that for the most of the race and then lack of bike time kicked in and i got tired, so i slipped back to 12th.
2nd A race had a bit better gate and was in a similar position until i decided to see how good my protective clothing was, by going over the bars and knocking myself out. I cannot remember anything of how it happened? Im fine though a little annoyed with myself for coming off. Just want to say thank you for everyone who helped
