whittings water info

hi could anyone tell me the post code for whittings water, also are we allowed to spectate from inside the track as this was suggested by someone in another post, cheers.

Shaftesbury Dorset SP7 0AH that will get you to the area and it the left of the guy marsh prison great track to ride too.

I dont belive you will be allowed in the centre of the track by the club due to saftey etc., but I belive the club and Farmerboi hope to have something sorted,guess he will be on here later in the week!.....By the way hes been busy on the track prep work and it looks bloody good.

whats the track surface like? hard pack or sandy/soft? gonna be wet right through to the meeting now i think

The soil in the area is clay but this track has a good amount of soil on it, the bottom part of the track by the river floods and stays very wet throughout the winter.
Farmerboi is stressing about the weather which is good anything that puts him on edge is good by me
I think the track will take a couple of days rain and will be spot on come race day.
Cant be anyworse than a wet chalk track can it!!!!

well its rained here most of the day , just got back from up there , and the rains gone in about inch, kick it about wiv ya boots and its well dry underneath. only dodgy spots is here and there were it is really heavy clay. ....my biggest concern is the heaps of cowshit,that the cows have deposited. lol . track will be ok ,just the pit area, ya might wanna bring some boots . or a spade lol ... starts all been setup as ringwood had it ,,, thanks to shaun carl mike and the rockstar, i just pushed the posts in were they put them ......hoping the sun will come out some when between now and sunday so i can roll it ,,, but if not hey ho ,,,

Just got back from holiday ready to come down to Whitings Water tomorrow.
Hows it looking?
If the weather is any thing like Thatcham then it can't be looking to good.

Been fairly dry down in Southampton today, only the odd light shower. Anyone live near the track?

Is the track still the same as the last time HMX used it or are there any additions.

Looking forward to this as its one of my favourite places to race.

Hope for a dry day on Sunday.

after he touched the fence did you notice rockstar went home. i think with a tear in his eye and a tortiose head in his trousers lol live a couple of miles from track and it looks great few alterations from last year but nothing major cant wait for a great day
