A few idea's for Matterly Basin Empty
PostSubject: A few idea's for Matterly Basin   A few idea's for Matterly Basin EmptyMon Aug 01, 2011 12:00 pm

Hey guys, hope everybody enjoyed sunday as much as me? Track was awesome for the most part, real shame we were let down by a bowser.

I just wanted to suggest a couple of things that might make the day run smoother.

Run it as a 2 day event, portsmouth do this now with there foxhill rd. The first day could be a practice day. At start of the first day there should be a riders briefing on taking it easy, learning the transitions slowly. I believe this could help a lot.

Book TWO bowsers, when you look at the cost of a bowser & tractor hire against what us riders are raising for charity i believe it's not out of the question. We are bringing in a huge amount of cash for charity & that brilliant, but when our safety & races are relying on one piece of equipment, perhaps an event of this size & nature deserves a contingency plan?

Please dont bite my head off lol, i think its amazing we have got the chance to ride the place & really appreciate whats Hampshire have achieved, just wanted to air some thoughts Smile

Hi Tony, didn't realise they only had 3 days planning!!! :O With all the charity input you would of thought the council would back a 4th day? Maybe we could do something extra that day to raise cash on the practice day.

Yeah i was getting over everything ok, really enjoying it TBH. Trouble with the finish line jumps was when you were stuck behind riders not doing it, would be easy to land on someone, when it was clear i found if you took off at on a slight angle you landed for the inside line pretty easy. Still managed a big crash in practice on the first step up you get too, over cleared it a mother **** lol, made sure i jumped everything else that lap to get confidence back, even with twisted bars :O

How did you find it ?
