PostSubject: dog incident at west meon   Mon Mar 07, 2011 9:38 am

as many of you are aware of what happened sunday between my boarder terrier and another dog not 100% on breed . me and my family would just like to put out a massive THANKYOU to everyone who helped out and finally managing to free his leg and also thanks to all the people who gathered evidence of what happened and jamie for really pussing the situation.
To those who were disturbed by what they sore i am happy to tell you archie is making a good recovery at home.
the blood that was covering his mouth and face was due to a ruptured vessel in his eye and he had to under go an operation on his leg which has now been stitched together and he is having medication throughout the day.

Sorry to hear about your Dog but, and this isn't a dig at you in anyway, why do people take Dogs to Motocross full stop. I've been to countless meetings over the years and always amazed by the amount of Dogs on and off leads surrounded by Bikes, noise, smoke etc.
A again, not a dig at you and i do hope your Dog is ok.

Me & my family take dogs occasionally to mx. As long as the owner is in control there's no problem. Dogs offer security for your van whilst your not there. If you like dogs you also realise they love getting out for the day rather than being left at home. They can walk the track with you & get plenty of fresh air. Also if your partner likes dogs it gives then something do do whilst you play at your hobby.

As for that vicious pit bull, if that bit & locked jawed my puppy lab like that i would have ended it life in seconds. There is no place for those dogs in public without being mussled.

Couldn't agree more with mitchell 81, There is no issue with dogs at tracks. however there is a big problem with vicious dogs like that pit ball in general, with that walking around i wouldn't wanna bring a child let alone a dog!!!.....

Im not pinning it down on one type of dog, im just stating the type of dog that everyone told me it was as im no expert on dogs. i stated 'there is a big problem with vicious dogs like that pit ball in general', when i mean in general i mean weather it be a 'staffy' or a chewowa.

Hey hope your dog is doing well and having a speedy recovery ! is it back home with you now.? Looks like this has caused a stir among peoples opions of dogs. the dog in question along with the owner were parked behind me on sunday, and although i didn't see the incident i saw the owner repeatedly laying the boot into his dog back at their car.
Which brings me to my point of sterio typing dogs which is not fair. When this is clearly a lack of responsabilty on the owners behalf and he obviously want his dog to massage his ego !!!!! People like this should not be aloud dogs full stop. I myself have a german sheperd and those of you who know me have probably met my dog and i will continue to bring him to meetings in the future as he to loves the day out and is part of the family .
