Accident Insurance Empty
PostSubject: Accident Insurance   Accident Insurance EmptyMon Jul 20, 2009 3:19 pm

Do any of you have any personal accident insurance that covers you for Motocross. If so who is it with and what does it cost per month roughly?

I have just had a nasty off and dis-located wrist in 2 places with 2 breaks in there also and tore all the ligaments in left arm. After 2 operations I now have a few wires and screws in there holding it together as the wrist was locked solid and could not be sorted whilst i was concious, even when 4 doctors were pulling on it!!!! affraid

Considering giving up if I can't find some sort of policy to cover this sort of accident/ time off work/hospital stays, as I now face 10 weeks off work cos you can't drive a truck with a f####d wrist.

Any info would be a great help.

May see you all next season.

Im covered by combined insurance. They are the only people (as far as im aware that will cover you for motocoss. i pay £19 a month for it, covers you anywere in europe and some others, for any accident. for instance my mate got in a fight and the dude broke his nose and he broke 2 fingers, they payed out for three minor breaks which was like £600. they also give you £140 for every night you stay in hospital. They pay for private operations to i believe so you dont wake up with your dislocated shoulder on you hip lol. plus they pay for physio. they pay £1000 for major brakes (arms, legs) but you have to take out a differant policy for ligament damage which cost more. they have a website check it out, they come round and visit you if you wanna sign up.

Rockstar, thanks for the advice, you were correct that Combined insurance do not cover Motocross, but it is only for part 2(time off work cover) of the policy and for solo riders only as I have just today taken out a policy and the salesman assured me that they still cover motocross but only for the part 1(accident/life cover) of the policy.
Good news for me is they cover quads for the whole of their policy.
Combined insurance contact name and no. Chris Cowell on 07712579001
Wrist is out of cast now and I'm just starting physio, be back on the thing soon hopefully. affraid
